Value Chains Analysis Report

September 30, 2024

The UNDP-supported Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Skills (YEES) Project fosters youth entrepreneurship in Timor-Leste by providing the necessary resources, such as financial assistance, training, and marketing channels, to run sustainable enterprises. The youth-led businesses supported by the YEES Project produce various goods across key industries of Timor-Leste, including agriculture, fishery, horticulture, and livestock farming. The products are distributed across rural and urban markets, including supermarkets in Dili. This initiative not only boosts the local economy but also enhances its resilience by enabling businesses to accommodate and capitalize on diverse consumer demands, both at individual and market levels. Through capacity building and market linkage, the project aims to create a lasting impact on youth employment and entrepreneurship development in the region.
