Life is Simpler in Digital

What is the project about?

"Life is Simpler in Digital” project aims to support women’s active participation in social life by socio-economically strengthening them, and raising awareness of women in entrepreneurship, and technology skills through digital literacy, digital marketing training, design thinking workshop, mentorship, and grant support program.


What is the situation?

Within the scope of the project, which was implemented in 2019, tens of thousands of women have benefited from digital literacy and digital marketing training to date, and according to the Social Impact Report, where the impact of the project in 2024 was measured, it was measured that each unit investment made in the project provided 3.09 units of social benefit. The project, which contributes to women taking a more active and equal place in economic and social life, aims to reach 15 thousand more women entrepreneurs in the new period of 2025, while mentoring and grant support will also be provided to entrepreneurs. The new term trainings of the project will start in April and continue until the end of the year.


What is our mission?

Our mission is to support women and senior citizen to develop their digital skills through digital literacy training and also women to encourage their participation in economic life with digital marketing training, design thinking workshop, mentorship and grant support. The project contributes  to CPD Output 2.4; “Disadvantaged groups, particularly the rural poor, women and youth, gain access to financial and nonfinancial assets and skill formation to benefit from sustainable livelihoods and jobs.


How are we doing this?

Within the scope of the project, digital literacy and digital marketing trainings will be given to women. Those who take digital marketing training will go through a selection process, and 500 of them will be included in the design thinking workshop. Afterwards, 20 of the women who benefited from the training and workshop will be selected, and mentoring support will be provided to 20, and grant support will be provided to 20 of them. Moreover, digital literacy trainings will be given to senior citizen within the scope of the project.

The selection of participations will be made based on the following criteria:

  • Belonging in an age group of 18 years or older women
  • Female entrepreneurs or women with entrepreneurial potential
  • Belonging in an age group of 65 years or older senior citizen
  • Lack of ICT, Internet usage skills

 

How will Türkiye benefit?

All women over the age of 18 residing in Turkey will be eligible to apply for the complimentary face-to-face and online training programs scheduled throughout the year. The project encompasses a range of training modules, including digital marketing, digital financial literacy, digital advertising, digital content production, and social media photography. Additionally, design-focused thinking workshops will be conducted to empower participants in developing business concepts, conducting market analyses, identifying their target audience, and effectively communicating with customers through appropriate channels. Selected participants from the training and workshop sessions will receive mentorship and grant support.
