With the United Kingdom (UK) funded initiative, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) aimed to develop and implement sustainable community-based models in the early recovery phase of the earthquake response in Türkiye to assist the groups that require special policies by providing access to employment, vocational training and social services.
UNDP contributes to designing and delivering accessible and gender-sensitive social services, employment and entrepreneurship support programmes, and also developing municipal capacities for waste management in the aftermath of the devastating February 2023 earthquakes that hit 11 provinces in Türkiye.
