This policy brief covers the topic of climate finance: it sets out the goals and types of climate finance, describes trends in the global climate finance market, and determines the relevance of the development of climate finance in developing countries. Particular attention is paid to the promising climate finance instruments for Turkmenistan in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation due to the need for a serious expansion of international cooperation of Turkmenistan aimed at mobilizing climate finance from external sources.
