This study is the fifth in a series of research projects conducted as part of the collaboration between the CSOs and the joint project "Strengthening the rule of law and human rights protection in Uzbekistan", implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and office of Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) with financial support from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. 

The study examines the implementation of Article 59-2 on domestic violence in the Code of Administrative Responsibility (CoAR) of Uzbekistan, introduced by Law No. 829 on April 11, 2023.

The research highlights the lack of gender-disaggregated statistical data on women's access to justice and the importance of strengthening legal mechanisms through evidence-based recommendations. Additionally, it aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of NGOs and civil society institutions in analyzing judicial practices.
