The report on the homeowners' awareness of energy-efficient and low-carbon housing and its advantages

This report presents the results of a survey conducted to examine homeowners' awareness on the concept of energy-efficient and low-carbon housing, as well as its benefits in reducing energy costs, greenhouse gas emissions and improvement quality of life. Also, an analysis of data obtained from a survey of homeowners, along with recommendations on information dissemination and increasing an interest in this topic among the target audience are provided.

The main objectives of the study are:

  • Investigate the current state of households’ energy consumption;

  • Assess the level of public awareness on energy-efficient and low-carbon technologies in construction and in everyday life;

  • Explore gender-based awareness differences regarding energy efficiency and low carbon housing;

  • Analysis of the perceptions of women and men regarding the introduction of renewable energy sources and their impact on their socio-economic activity;

  • Examine factors influencing the mass use of renewable energy technologies, including financial aspects and government support;

  • Identify the need to include training on renewable energy sources in the curricula of educational institutions.
