Risk Educational Children's Booklet

October 3, 2021

The ongoing conflict in Yemen continues to see an increase in the number of civilian casualties from explosive ordnance, nearly half of whom are children. Effective explosive ordnance risk education seeks to reduce the risk of injuries from explosive ordnance by raising awareness of women, girls, boys and men in accordance with their different vulnerabilities, roles and needs and by promoting safer behaviours. With the support of donors, the Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre and Responsiveness for Relief and Development, UNDP has developed a Yemen-specific children’s guide to explosive hazards. Please join Mohammed, Sarah, Saleh and Noor as they learn how to keep safe with their friends.
