Tax for SDGs

Full Project Title: Tax for SDGs

Brief Description:

This Country Engagement Plan (CEP) document aims to bring together Zimbabwe’s national and sub-national priorities on financing for development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on taxation.

It is demand-driven and focuses on Zimbabwe's Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works and National Housing, the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development, and respective local authorities which serve as the focal point for articulating national requirements regarding taxation and development at national and sub-national levels in Zimbabwe. The CEP combines national, regional, and sub-national taxation priorities and actions.

The CEP will increase the developmental impact and foster systemic reforms and institutional development, building on the work that UNDP, in partnership with the OECD, has done in capacity building through the Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB).
