The AI Readiness Assessment 2024 for Bhutan evaluates the country’s preparedness to integrate AI technologies across three key pillars: Government as an Enabler, Government as a User, and Ethical AI. Bhutan demonstrates strong digital infrastructure and policy foundations. However, challenges remain, including skill gaps, limited funding, and the absence of comprehensive ethical AI frameworks.
