The Government has considered the development of the Circular Economy a priority since 2019 following the development of the Low Carbon Development initiative by the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas). UNDP and the Government have been working on policy, capacity building and raising awareness through technical studies and training, with support from the Government of Denmark and UN-PAGE.
