Urban Transformation Initiative
Project Summary
The City Experiment Fund (CEF) project aims to drive system transformation in the region through providing an environment for innovation and experimentation, responding to local needs and aspirations in real time.
The Urban Transformation Initiative (UTI), an extension of CEF, collaborates with other UNDP projects and the Municipality of Pristina as its primary partner. The UTI project aims to improve the urban liveability in Pristina by efficiently implementing prototypes developed during the portfolio co-design phase under CEF.
Project Objective
The UTI aims to drive urban transformation in Pristina by engaging a diverse range of stakeholders in a collaborative co-design process. It aims to leverage innovative, collaborative and funding tools to scale up successful prototypes and initiatives. To effectively expand activities initiated within the platform, UTI aims to expand funds and establish strategic partnerships for development within the local ecosystem. Through this process, the UTI aims to foster the development of a resilient and active community within the municipality.
