In a world where 3,000 billionaires coexist with 1.1 billion people facing multidimensional poverty, and in a region where the richest 10% of the population earns, on average, 12 times more than the poorest 10%, a crucial question arises: How can we tackle inequalities and reduce poverty?
In our upcoming dialogue in the Reimagining Our Future series: "Riding Toward a Fairer Future in a World of Disparities", we will bring together a former Vice Minister of Housing and cyclist, a social justice expert, a leader in inclusive growth and sustainable finance, and the UNDP Resident Representative in Uruguay.
They will discuss how, through approaches such as redistributive justice, urban development, job creation, and sustainable finance, we can—each from our own perspective and with the precision of those who know how to maintain balance on a bicycle—pedal forward to reimagine the future of Latin America and the Caribbean.
