Bangladesh’s Economic Relations Division (ERD) is planning to publish the second installment of the National Human Development Report (NHDR) with support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) after a 26-year hiatus.
The NHDR was first released in 1992 and the publication subsequently stopped. To revamp the publication, ERD is organising a series of consultations aimed at developing the working modalities for the publication of this report.
Dr. Selim Jahan, Director of UNDP Human Development Report Office in New York, who attended the third of such consultations, emphasised on the need for “a framework where the status of people-centred development is illustrated.”
