This brief focuses on SDG indicator 16.7.2, which measures people’s belief that the government will listen to, and act on, their opinions. It discusses the indicator’s rationale and its methodology and presents examples of how national statistical offices (NSOs) around the world are already producing statistics on the perceived inclusiveness and responsiveness of public decision-making in their respective countries.
