This report presents the findings of the nationwide assessment conducted in July-September 2022 to analyze the state of gender digital divide in Uzbekistan. The assessment is based on the international Gender Digital Divide Index framework and measures the country’s starting point (Foundations), inputs (Enablers) that contribute to reducing the gender digital divide, and the outcomes (Impacts) of such efforts.

The main goal of the study is to identify the current gaps and barriers to gender digital inclusion and provide key recommendations for government and international organizations. The report features key actions for bridging gender digital divide in Uzbekistan. Financial and organizational support for the research was provided by the UNDP projects “Advancing Digital Transformation in Uzbekistan” and Improved Public Service Delivery and Enhanced Governance in Rural Uzbekistan.
