The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) implements the European Union funded Capacity Development of Local Governments (CDLG) Project with the objective of strengthening local authorities (LAs) to be inclusive, responsive and accountable and to be able to plan, enhance resilience, and deliver better services. The present research explores ways and means of increasing revenue generation avenues and enhancing local capacities of revenue generation and was conducted covering the 134 LAs in Northern, Eastern, North Central and Uva provinces.
