This second National Gender Policy (NGP) seeks to address the shortcomings of the 2004 NGP and the emerging issues prevailing under the changing political, economic and social contexts at local, regional and global levels. It seeks to seeks to achieve a gender just society where men and women enjoy equality and equity and participate as equal partners in the development process of the country. The policy goal is “To eradicate gender discrimination and inequalities in all spheres of life and development.”
