The “From Faith to Action: Unveiling the Potential of Religious Messaging for Encouraging Waste Sorting Behavior” study examines the under-explored factor of faith in influencing waste sorting behaviors. This study aimed to answer the question: “Does religious messaging have an influence on waste sorting behavior?”

Over 98% of Indonesians believe that religion is very important in their lives. The 2023 Charities Aid Foundation’s World Giving Index reaffirmed Indonesia’s position as the most generous country globally for the sixth consecutive year. These findings suggest that faith may have significant potential to drive behavior change in waste sorting.
