We also launched the Business Continuity Plan together with MICM, a tool for SMEs to plan and manage their businesses, taking into account operational risk management in various areas. Thanks to the survey of economic impacts on SMEs, UNDP transferred the methodology to the MICM team with the collaboration of the UNDP office in Ecuador, for the implementation of the “Ponte en Marcha” initiative.


 

This initiative is made up of practical guides and a toolbox that can be shared, providing remote training and support focused on keeping their businesses active, efficiently managing orders and deliveries, organizing finances in times of uncertainty, keeping companies clean and safe, taking advantage of new digital payment methods; and how to generate attractive products and promotions for customers, thus helping to modify their strategies to a digital environment and be at the forefront to face the situation during and after the pandemic.
