PROJECT OWNER: UNDP-SIGOB

At the heart of public institutions are the government transactions (trámites in Spanish) they provide to citizens, businesses, and other public entities. Institutions administer thousands of transactional services, and people and companies carry out millions of government transactions yearly, from identity documents to registrations, permits, certifications, payments, etc. Through these transactional services, people exercise rights, fulfill obligations, access services, and obtain authorization that rightfully protects the rights of others.

UNDP-SIGOB has developed a service to work with public institutions in simplifying, digitalizing, and automating procedures through the SOL OnLine Services platform for interaction with citizens and the TRE Regular Procedures platform for complex processes. Through rapid implementations, SIGOB transforms the delivery of services, reducing response times, increasing the consistency of responses, and improving transparency.

The UNDP-SIGOB regional project provides a digital platform and implementation service. A project usually includes process mapping, analysis of opportunities for improvement, parameterization of the digital platform, training of officials, development of interoperability protocols, and accompaniment to ensure the sustainability of the new service delivery processes.
