The UN Joint Programme “Phase 2: Transformation of Social Service Delivery: Implementing Human Rights-Based Approach for Children, Youth, Women and Men with Disabilities in Uzbekistan”
Project Summary:
The Programme aims to build the capacity of social service professionals to deliver CRPD-compliant social services for the children and adults with disabilities. It is implemented by the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) and funded by the Global Disability Fund (also called UNPRPD MTPF).
Main objectives:
National Stakeholders have the knowledge and practical tools to effectively contribute to the development and implementation of disability inclusive policies, systems
Gaps in achievement of essential building blocks or preconditions to CPRD implementation in development and humanitarian programs are addressed
Expected results:
Capacity of national stakeholders will be enhanced to ensure that effective support for disability inclusion within CRPD-compliant social services provision reaches under-represented groups of people with disabilities
Human Rights-Based Inclusive Social Services Provision Tool for service providers to ensure provision of needs based tailored services for persons with disabilities will be developed, tested and deployed
Regulatory framework for integrated and inclusive social services for the youth and women with disabilities will be enhanced
