On the ground in some 170 countries and territories, UNDP works to eliminate gender inequalities through a range of targeted, gender-focused programmes and strategies that accelerate structural transformation. Working in partnership with governments, civil society organizations, the private sector, academia and think tanks, UNDP seeks to ensure that gender equality remains central to development efforts and that the needs, experiences and contributions of women and girls are considered in decision-making.

The United Nations Development Programme Gender Team of the Global Policy Network is the anchor of the global work to advance gender equality at the United Nations Development Programme. The team oversees the implementation of the UNDP Gender Equality Strategy 2022-2025. The Gender Seal Team comprises expertise on gender integration across thematic areas and contexts. The Global Team is based in New York with Regional Advisors based in UNDP’s Regional Hubs in Panama, Addis Ababa, Amman, Bangkok, and Istanbul.
